Our Mission
Pravda Russian was founded with a single purpose: to create the most complete, clear and honest Russian language learning platform on the internet. The name Pravda (правда) means truth in Russian — and truth is exactly what we aim to provide: honest explanations, real language, genuine cultural context and preparation that actually works.
We are frustrated by language learning platforms that teach transliteration instead of Cyrillic, drip-feed content behind paywalls, or treat learners as passive consumers. Russian deserves better, and so do the people who want to learn it.
What We Offer
Every page on Pravda Russian is written by people who have actually learned Russian — who know where the stumbling blocks are, why verb aspect trips up English speakers, and what it feels like to have your first real conversation in Russian. Our content is structured by CEFR level so you always know exactly where you are and what comes next.
Beyond lessons, we have built six free interactive tools — a dictionary, flashcard system, verb conjugator, Cyrillic keyboard, grammar index and translator — because language learning requires practice tools, not just reading material.
Our Team
Pravda Russian is a small, dedicated team of Russian language educators, former students of Russian universities and passionate learners at various stages of the journey.
